Description
The P950 is BSC's freezer pen, a pressurized detectable pen engineered specifically for food processing environments where standard ballpoint and gel ink fail: freezer rooms, chilled processing areas, wet surfaces, and greasy conditions. Pressurized ink means gravity doesn't matter. It writes upside down, in damp conditions, and on greasy surfaces without skipping.
Built on the XDetect 2.0 compound, the P950 is fully BRC Issue 9 compliant, metal detectable, and x-ray visible throughout, including the pressurized stainless steel ink cartridge. Steritouch Silver-Ion antimicrobial technology is active for the entire life of the pen, protecting against E. Coli, MRSA, and Salmonella. The white insert makes it instantly distinguishable from standard ballpoint pens on the production floor.
One thing to know about pressurized pens: The P950 is designed to live in the cold environment it's assigned to. Repeatedly moving it between freezer temperatures and ambient conditions affects the internal gas pressure and can impact performance. Best practice is to store it in the environment where it will be used. If your workers move between temperature zones, the J850 gel ink pen may be a better fit.
