Our Metal Detectable Cooks Knife is a great general purpose carving knife for the food manufacturing industry. Manufactured in Sheffield, England, renowned worldwide for quality steel and craftsmanship, it pairs an 8 inch stainless steel blade, in broad or light profiles, with a handle molded from BST's XDetect material. The handle is fully detectable by foreign contaminant systems using either metal detection or x-ray visibility, and it is shatter resistant and dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
Additional handle colors and blade sizes are available on request. For lighter slicing work on the same line, the 6 inch detectable produce knives share the identical detectable handle system.

A metal detectable product is made fully from detectable materials and has the potential to be detected on most industrial metal detection systems. These materials are metallic and plastic with special ferromagnetic additives.
