The retractable mechanism is spring-free, keeping the marker BRC Issue 9 compliant. No caps to lose in product, no springs to fall out, just a clean push-button retract. The body is metal detectable and x-ray visible, so if it ends up where it shouldn't, your inline inspection systems have a chance to catch it.
